General Information
Located in the dizzying heights of the Himalayas, with passes that
remain closed for six months linking them with the rest of the world, Kinnaur,
Spiti & Lahaul were till now a forbidden land. Only a chosen few were granted
permission to visit this secret world, officials, Moravian missionaries who
settled here in 1853 and a few mountaineers.
Now this area has been opened for the daring and adventurous to discover what
had been hidden from the world for centuries THis is the lesser-known district
of Himachal Pradesh is situated on the eastern side of the state and has Tibet
on its east, Spiti on its north, Kullu on its west and Shimla and the Uttarkashi
district of U.P. on its south. The Sutlej River flows through the Kinnaur valley.
The valley is situated at a high altitude and has a rugged and barren mountainous
landscape.

How to Reach Kinnaur :
Air : There is no direct flight to Kinnaur, the nearest Airport
is Shimla which can be reached from Delhi.
Rail :There is no Rail service to Kinnaur and the nearest Railway
Station at Shimla
Road : National Highways(NH-22) is the most convenient communication
network to Kinnaur.
